About the PTA

The Bridlemile PTA is made up of devoted parents and caregivers that work with our amazing teachers and staff to sponsor and facilitate events, coordinate volunteer support, and raise funds for our school.

The PTA sponsors the Grow Portland school-wide curriculum, classroom supplies for Bridlemile teachers, community outreach support, and signature community events and programs including Family Game Night and Beagle Basketball. The PTA also compiles a free online Parent/Student School Directory (also known as Membership Toolkit) each year so more families can connect.

Bridlemile PTA program and event funding is generated through a variety of fundraisers and community donations.  Our 2024-2025 fundraisers include the All Access Pass/PTA Membership, Charleston Wrap Fundraiser, Scholastic Book Fair, and Restaurant Nights.

PTA Membership

We encourage EVERY adult with children at Bridlemile Elementary to join the PTA.  It is through your memberships, volunteer hours, and overall participation in your student’s education that we achieve success together.

Membership is good for one school year. Remember to renew your membership annually. Your membership fee provides:

  • Financial support to our statewide PTA organization, who facilitates our nonprofit status

  • Voting rights at PTA meetings, which include critical spending and budget allocation decisions

  • The ability to be a Bridlemile PTA board member or activity chair (note: you don’t need to be an official PTA member to volunteer for PTA or school events)

  • 100% tax deductible donation

We have two options to become an official member of the Bridlemile PTA:

  • Bridlemile's Annual Kickstarter Campaign, which funds all of our major programs and free community events. Passes include (2) PTA memberships, (4) tickets to the Missoula Children's theater production, (1) Beagle Spirit t-shirt, and (1) Freaky Friday t-shirt, (1) event bracelet & (20) event tickets. The deadline to order each year is Oct. 31.
