Volunteer at Bridlemile
We have a wonderful community of volunteers and many opportunities to be a part of what makes our school great. If you are interested in lending your time to enrich the lives of our students, families, and community, this is the place to start. We currently have opportunities to support the following school events and functions:
-
There is a huge need for volunteers. Librarians have requested 1-2 volunteers per session and it does not need to be your own child's class. Sign up here!
-
Bridlemile is looking for 1 volunteer daily to help with the cafeteria lunch lines from 10:30-11:30am. Sign up here!
-
Each PPS school is responsible for sending 5-6 volunteers twice during the school year to assist students in receiving clothes and shoes. Bridlemile's 2nd day is February 27 from 9:30am -1:30pm. Volunteers can be parents, grandparents or community members. Sign up here!
The Center is currently looking for donations of gently worn/new, teen/adult-sized coats, hoodies and sweatshirts, as well as boys’ pants, joggers or jeans size 4-14.
You can also volunteer at the Clothing Center throughout the school year, which is open only during school days on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm until April 28.
The Center operates entirely on donations and volunteer time. Email Sharon Meigh-Chang if you need more information about the Clothing Center.

Background Check Required for All Volunteers
All volunteers are required to complete a Background Check. The background check needs to be completed every three years and is good for all Portland Public Schools once it’s completed. You will receive an email notification from PPS when it’s time to resubmit the background check.
