Talent Show
We’re excited to announce this year’s Bridlemile talent show, Beagles Over Broadway! This is a fun and inclusive opportunity for all students to show off their talents and creativity. Whether your child loves singing, dancing, comedy, music, magic, or something totally unique, there’s a place for everyone on stage.
When: Saturday, April 11th
Time: K–2 will perform from 10:00am–12:00pm
3–5 will perform from 1:00pm–3:00pm
NOTE: times may shift depending on sign up numbers.

What: Bring your creativity and passion to shine!
S.T.E.A.M. Night
Come to Bridlemile open house night and have your Beagle show you around! Classrooms will display current S(cience)T(echnology)E(ngineering) A(rts) M(ath) projects.
Ida B. Wells High School Physics students (some Bridlemile alums!) will host science exhibits at this event as well!
When: Thursday, April 16th
Time: 5:30p-7:00p
Where: Bridlemile
What: Visit throughout the school, talk with Bridlemile staff, catch up with friends and enjoy a pizza dinner generously provided by Bridlemile PTA/Foundation.
Bike Fest
The Bridlemile Bike Bus is rolling again this spring! Students ride to school together in a supervised group ride led by parent volunteers — like a bus on bikes.
Official launch ride: Wednesday, April 22, 2026 (Earth Day)
Current route stops
7:15 AM – Tursi Soccer Field
7:40 AM – SW 54th Ave & SW Hamilton St
7:45 AM – Arrival at Bridlemile Elementary
Riders should bring a helmet, working bike, and weather-appropriate gear.

Earth Day Celebration
When: Wednesday, April 22nd
Time: 2:30p-4:30p
Where: Bridlemile Garden
What: A great chance to spend time outdoors, connect with other families, and lend a hand as we refresh and prep the garden for the season ahead.
Drop in anytime during the event — many hands make light work! Snacks and drinks will be provided. All ages are welcome, and no gardening experience is needed.
Come dig in with us and help our garden grow!
Freaky Friday
Freaky Friday is Bridlemile’s annual school carnival. It is a beloved community event filled with bouncy houses, carnival games, sweet treats, food for purchase, and plenty of prizes!
When: Tuesday, May 8th
Time: 5:00p-8:00p
Where: Bridlemile
What: Freaky Friday t-shirts, tickets, and wristbands are now available! Pre-order now to skip the line and save!
Pre-orders will be delivered April 24 via student backpacks.
Both wristbands and tickets will also be available for purchase at the event. Apparel quantities will be limited, so pre-order if you’d like a shirt!
Southwest Portland Sunday Parkways
When: Saturday, May 17th
Time: 11:00am–4:00pm
Route: A 2-mile multi-modal loop plus a separate 2.6-mile walking route
What: Streets are closed to cars and opened for people to walk, bike, roll, shop, and connect. This free, family-friendly community event features live entertainment, activities for all ages, local vendors, and community organizations like yours.
Traveling to and around Sunday Parkways
Streets along the route in Southwest Portland will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 9 a.m. and continuing through 5 p.m. on May 17. Volunteers will be at intersections to help people navigate. View the full route and travel details at www.portland.gov/sunday-parkways/southwest-event-2026.
