Our Commitment to our Community
As significant changes are occurring at the federal level that are causing uncertainty and confusion, the Bridlemile PTA wants to reaffirm our commitment to honoring, supporting and protecting every member of our community with the shared purpose of creating an environment where our children can all grow to be the best versions of themselves. We know many members of our community may be feeling scared or concerned — either for themselves or for others. If there are ways in which we can support you and your family, please reach out to pta@bridlemileschool.org.
Action Alert: Oregon School Funding
Please email or call your state legislators today to remind them to fully fund public schools in Oregon. As the Oregon State Legislature begins their legislative session (starting this month until June 2025), they will be tasked with deciding Oregon’s biennium budget.
According to this year’s Quality Education Model (QEM) report, funding the full QEM funding model requires a $12.705 legislative State School Fund appropriation combined with an $822 million from the Student Success Act for a total of $13.526 billion. The Oregon State Legislature has never fully funded the QEM, so it's critical that we get in front of our lawmakers now to make sure they promise to make fully funding public education a top priority.
